Pitty City Rescue

Pitty City Rescue is the pet project of Gert and Nicole, who are incapable of not helping a dog that needs them. Our rescue was born out of our complete love and commitment to the most neglected, over-bred dogs in Philadelphia – the Pit Bull.

While we will absolutely help any dog in need, we focus on saving as many pitties as we can with rescue, rehabilitation, spaying/neutering and placing them in loving forever homes.

We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

Stay connected with the cuteness by following Pitty City on Instagram. Then, head over to the Pitty City site for more info on fostering or adopting.

The Christmas Nuggets – Adopted February 2021

We rescued this pack of four, 4-week old, siblings on Christmas night. Their momma was too young and sadly was not interested in the task at hand, so we stepped in to help.

They were the sweetest Christmas cookies ever.

Clark (male) – Named for Clark Griswold, this sweet guy is playful and more of a charcoal gray than the picture shows.

UPDATE: Clark (now Loki) has landed in his forever home
and loves his new sister, Luna.
Clarence (male) – named for the angel who needed his wings in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, Clarence is the biggest snuggler who loves to try to jump, despite his tiny legs not knowing how. He loves to sleep on his back.

UPDATE: Clarence (now Willie) is now enjoying life
in the country with his new family.
Cole (male) – Cole is a playful, snuggly, feisty (yet sensitive guy) named after his jet black coat (coal).

UPDATE: Cole is on his way to his forever home, adoption pending.
Jovi (female) – Jovi has a sweet singing voice like her namesake (Jovie from Elf), who loves falling asleep on your lap. She also has an independent side and is the smallest of the pack.

UPDATE: Jovi is on her way to her forever home, adoption pending.
